CAEPR was recently awarded a contract through a competitive US Department of Education American Indian Education Program, and will collaborating with EXCEL Alaska to support college and career readiness activities for rural high school students. The project engages the Kuspuk and the Lower Yukon School Districts to hold community summits, bring students to postsecondary institutions for college bridging experiences, and connect students and higher education administrators to create resources for incoming rural students. This 4-year project is expected to deliver valuable services to youth, and therein present opportunities to identify best practices and support research on this topic.
