As Vic Fischer’s friends and family share memories of Vic’s amazing contributions to Alaska and his impact on us all, we thought we’d share this publication about Vic’s long and impactful career at the University of Alaska, UAA, and ISER in particular. ISER is what it is today because of Vic! Also, if you’d like to honor Vic’s legacy and help ISER train the next generation of policy researchers, please consider a donation to the Vic Fischer Undergraduate Research Award. This award supports students in conducting research and contributing analyses to projects and publications under the guidance of researchers at ISER. Projects can be independent research projects related to ISER work or a discrete part of an existing ISER research effort. We anticipate selecting our first awardee this semester and having them on board a research project this spring or over the summer.
