Indigenous Food Knowledges NetworkISER’s Jennifer Schmidt, Assistant Professor of Natural Resources Management, is part of the Indigenous Foods Knowledges Network (IFKN), bringing together Indigenous leaders, community practitioners, and scholars (both Indigenous and non-Indigenous) focused on research and community capacity related to food sovereignty and Indigenous Knowledge.

IFKN was initiated under a four-year National Science Foundation “research coordination network” grant under the direction of a research team at the University of Colorado and the University of Arizona. Schmidt’s role is to provide support as needed for ISER data to help with decision-making.
